New Review & Compliance Submission Process Coming Soon

New Review & Compliance Submission Process Coming Soon

The New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources is improving our Review & Compliance processes by implementing a web-based cultural resource information system for submission, processing, and search applications. This new system will synchronize with an updated EMMIT research tool and will allow applicants to submit required documentation electronically with direct access to project tracking and digital review responses by DHR staff. Known as EMMIT+, this online system will replace our hard-copy, mail oriented, Request for Project Review Form in order to initiate federal and state project reviews and related survey products.

Beginning in January 2025, all Applicants seeking DHR comment on federal and state reviews will login to our enhanced EMMIT+ system to submit and track project submissions. DHR will no longer accept hard-copy submissions after December 31, 2024.

Please check our website in December for instructions on how to access and use EMMIT+. We look forward to working with you all to streamline and improve consultation in order to keep your important projects moving forward.

Archaeology Review

Archaeology is an important component of the review and compliance process. Under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and NH RSA 227-C:9 the DHR strives to ensure that archaeological resources are considered during the review process.
